Professional Nurturing Empowering

Dance Instruction & Performance Opportunity For All

private ballet classes

Ballet technique is an intangible treasure - passed down through generations of master teachers - that inspires grace and beauty through physical form.

At OIBA, teachers create a nurturing environment where each student taps into their full potential. Based on the Vaganova Method combined with the directors’ personal experiences dancing around the world, the OIBA training approach offers precise explanation and clear demonstration. Inspired to focus and find their own unique voice in dance, OIBA students maintain a sense of playfulness, joy and freedom as they grow to achieve their highest level of technical proficiency.

“[Artistic Director] Xuan shares her passion and support with everyone she touches... [She] has an amazing way of making people believe in themselves.”

Performance Opportunity

Each year, OIBA offers several extensive productions which provide the very unique opportunity for students to collaborate and perform with professional ballet dancers, often while premiering original choreography by award-winning Executive Director, Ye Li.

“They want to teach their students the connections between the ballet steps and the stage, and teach the why of it all. They want to teach them curiosity and to become active participants in the process. They want more for their students than just performing and smiling and looking pretty on stage. They want to involve the students in the creative process.”
